Nope. Best moment was A.R. Rahman winning for best score and best song. Come on, LOTR musical?! Slumdog's awesome soundtrack?! He was like a smiling, happy, Indian hobbit up there on stage.
Also, Ben Stiller dressed like CrazyJoaquinPhoenix was also great.
I'm happy for Kate, fo' sho', but it felt like a foregone conclusion so I wasn't exactly suprised, you know? I totally geeked out, though, when The Awesome Shirley MacLaine said her spiel during the Best Actress Nominees presentation. Now that's a Hollywood star!
Yes! Kate Winslet ftw!! Seriously, every time I saw her onscreen, I yelled some permutation of "yay, Kate!"
Although I love me some Kate Winslet, I have to say one of the best moments was when Tina Fey and Steve Martin were presenting:
"Every writer starts with a blank page." "And every blank page was once a tree." "And every tree was once a tiny seed." "And every tiny seed on earth was placed her by the alien King Rondelay to foster our titrates and fuel our positive transfers."
On a separate note, I saw Slumdog yesterday and...wow. There are just no words. So glad it took home so many Oscars!
hahaha ok. Those are all some pretty great moments. Even if it was a foregone conclusion, Kate winning still takes the cake for me, but all of the Slumdog wins were awesome as well. A.R. Rahman was awesome! So versatile, heh. I'm so happy you watched the movie too, Zozzizle! Yay! Funniest moment was definitely Ben Stiller as CrazyJoaquinPhoenix, but that Tina Fey/Steve Martin bit was also amazing! Oh and because it can't be said enough: Zeffron! Also, Edward Cullen! *dazzle* :)
